About the Site and Author
The Lantern & The Lamb was created as a resource I once wished existed.
A places wehre the Catholic faith could be explained clearly. A place that wasn't argumentative or overwhelming. A place that welcomed honest questions.
Whether someone is curious about Catholicism for the first time, returning after years away, or simply wanting to understand the Church more deeply - this space is meant to offer light and clarity.
Not pressure. Not debate. Just faithful teaching and an open door.
Why This Site Exists
The Catholic Church is ancient and beautiful. She is also often misunderstood.
Many people encounter Catholic teaching through fragments - headlines, social media debates, secondhand explanations. What is often missing is context, history, and the steady voice of the Church itself.
This site exists to gently present what the Church actually teaches, drawing from Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and the consistent teaching of the Church throughout the centuries - faithfully preserved in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
About the Author
I'm Christie - a Catholic wife and mother who loves the steady beauty and depth of the Church.
The Lantern & The Lamb began as a personal desire to understand the faith more clearly - not only what the Church teaches, but why. What started as study gradually became something I wanted to share with others who were asking the same questions.
I'm not a theologian or a member of the clergy. I'm simply someone who loves the Catholic Church and wants to present her teachings faithfully and gently, always in continuity with Sacred Scripture and the teaching authority of the Church.
My hope is that this space feels less like a lecture and more like a quiet conversation - a lantern lighting the next step.
I'm grateful you're here!
